I hate this disease. It is taking another one of my friends Christian... Please say any extra prayers for him and his family. He was diagnosed 1 month before me in 2008, he is 13yo and loosing his battle. Thirteen is just too young, he is so happy with the snake we gave him.... Lord help my friends find eternal peace in heaven and find one another... We must find a cure.... Yaya

Life for Cure for Kids had a new look I never dreamed would happen in 365 days. It is with great sadness that our team lost Caroline (12yo) & Grant (22yo) within 10days of relay... Andrew & I still stood strong and spoke again this year, how we missed our friends who spoke last year with us... The effects of chemo/cancer still takes its toll on both Andrew & mine, but WE WILL KEEP FIGHTING. .Our team raised the most money, thank you to all who helped..... Please keep the families of Caroline and Grant in your prayers... XOXO Yaya

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I wanted to let everyone know that my friend Kirk for his senior project is doing a charity fishing tournament for me. It's going to be @ Lake Hodges on Sunday May 2nd. If you would like to fish it starts @ 500 am. If not if you like to come out @ 2:00 pm for a free bbq and see the weigh in for the biggest fish. Also great raffle items too. If you would like to fish contact me!
Love, Alexis

Officially two long years since Alexis was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. It has really been a week of reflecting, celebrating, tears and more appointments. On the 23rd was when her tumor popped out, 24th a day @ Scripps RB, 25th admittance to Children's and 26th biopsy.. Our lives forever changing. But everyday I awake with my daughter in this world, I can never have a bad day, I can deal with anything.
Finally hyperbaric work has begun, so 1 1/2hrs a day she is locked in to the chamber for the next 21days, then another 10-20 days but only for a few days in the week. She spent most of today sleeping, some pain from the long car rides and the fun times of the week. Tessa has had two softball games with a home run, triple and many singles. Tomorrow she will add to her weeks totals.
